How to enquire

How to make an enquiry

A short outline is enough to start. You do not need a full case file or signed terms simply to ask whether a matter can be considered.

The simple process

  1. Outline the matter. A few sentences, a reply address and any important date are enough for the first approach. You do not need to send case papers at this stage.
  2. Check the fit. Keane considers conflicts, availability and suitability, usually aiming for an initial conflict check within 24 hours once the relevant names are known. That is an aim, not a promise that every urgent instruction can be accepted.
  3. Decide on the quote. If Keane can act, you receive a fixed fee plus VAT, defined work and written terms. Read and sign the agreement, then pay only by chambers-verified details before work starts. After triage, the clerking team will explain how to send relevant documents.

There is no obligation simply because you enquire. An enquiry does not pause a deadline; seek urgent assistance through an appropriate provider if time is short. See fees and service information.

A short outline is enough

Keane personally triages each enquiry and contacts the individual enquirer. Use the form to share your name, reply email and a few sentences about the help you need. The area of law and an important date are optional.

Do not include names of children, health details, detailed safeguarding or disciplinary allegations, witness information, confidential documents or a full bundle. Relevant parties' names may be requested later for a conflict check.
